A Big Sur Engagement Session | Mallory and Fabio

It was a beautiful overcast day on the Pacific coast of Big Sur, California. Mallory and Fabio had traveled to California all the way from Indiana to run the famous Big Sur Marathon, something my body would probably not enjoy, but that's another story. They thought it would be wonderful to schedule an Engagement Photoshoot during their stay here in California, and I'm so glad they did. It was a wildly adventurous day. The weather was all over the place, heavy rain would suddenly pour over us and then stop. However Mallory and Fabio were incredibly flexible and embraced every element, and it made for some stunning photos! We started our photoshoot at the iconic Bixby Bridge, then made our way through Andrew Molera State Park, finally landing at Pfeiffer Beach for some beautiful sunset shots. It was an adventure never to forget.

I remember jumping the first phone call with Mallory, she had managed to find some time in the middle of the work day to chat about our exciting photoshoot. We talked about styling, what to wear, different types of scenery throughout Big Sur, and made some decisions on the grand vision of the photoshoot. One of my favorites things to do is help clients create a vision for their special day and enjoy their photoshoot. I loved hearing how Mallory and Fabio were high School sweethearts, how they stayed connected through college, and are now engagement ready to get married. What an exciting new season of life! They really inspired me in ways totally unrelated to photography, but just seeing them travel so far to run a marathon made me think about my own bucket list and things that I would love to accomplish in my own life. Thanks guys. Congrats to Mallory and Fabio, you two are awesome!
