Have you ever wanted to get married at Lover's Point Beach in California?

Lover's Point Beach is one of the most beautiful places in the Monterey Bay, especially to get married! It has a variety of scenery within very close walking distance: From green lawns, to trees, to sandy beaches, and even coastal rock formations. You can host a small wedding of around 100 people, or go simpler and bring just a few close friends and family to share in your special day. Let's talk about a few different locations at Lover's Point that are perfect for tying the knot!

Berwick Park

Berwick Park is a beautiful lawn area by Lover's Point that overlooks the ocean. It is perfect for hosting a wedding ceremony with chairs. The lawn is fairly large so it is a great place to hang out beforehand, and for kids to run around and play. It is marked by a monument of two dancing whales, which is where most people land for their ceremony.

Berwick Park is located at the corner of Monterey Ave & Ocean View Blvd in Pacific Grove, Ca. There is plenty of street parking for you and your guests, however those spots are not guaranteed and are open to the public. It is a beautiful venue for weddings and elopements and is just gorgeous around sunset.

Lover's Point Park

Lover's Point park is located at the foot of 17th street, it is recognized as a community park that spans about 4.4 acres. It is beautiful, well kept, and a great spot to bring families with kids. There is a large lawn area that is great for wedding ceremonies, and is outlined by cypress trees, which photograph well in the background. Lover's Point Park was awarded the "Best Place to Get Married" by the Monterey County Weekly for seven consecutive years and the Carmel Pine Cone.

I had the honor of recently photographing a small wedding ceremony with a lovely couple Matt and Bernadette. They absolutely LOVED their photos and it was a dream to be able to shoot there. We got wonderful weather and the sunset made the sky light up in a beautiful way. There were waves crashing behind them which just made everything extra epic.
